A Road Trip to Sweden and Norway / Norway Day 3
I spent just over two weeks road tripping through Sweden and Norway with my dad and mum (who joined for the second part) in late summer/early autumn. Scandinavia has always been one of my favourite parts in the world. I’ve spent summers in Sweden as a child, so going back now brought back some beautiful childhood memories. I love the Swedish woods, the cute colourful wooden houses, the lakes, the mellow atmosphere and sense of air.
It was my first time in Norway. I visited without any expectations at all, and was blown away, even just by the small part that we saw. I’ll note which places we visited and stopped at in each post. I hope you’ll enjoy the photos, get inspired to plan your own trip to Scandinavia, and discover some beautiful places of your own.
Day three in Norway was just as amazing as day one and two. Norway is just so absolutely breathtaking. It's got everything - from wide open, snowy mountain plains to green hill and villages nestled amongst them, to waterfalls and fjords, to apple orchards and farms… I can’t even describe how much I loved it - the photos will have to do it justice and give you an idea of the variety of landscapes, vibes and colours you’ll come across.
On our third day we covered a whole lot of the journey, driving along Hardanger Fjord, making our way from Bergen back towards Oslo. We boarded two ferries, passed through Jondal and Utne, bought fresh organic apples in a tiny village we drive through, and ended up in Kvanndal where we stayed the night.
