A Road Trip to Sweden and Norway / Sweden Day 9
I spent just over two weeks road tripping through Sweden and Norway with my dad and mum (who joined for the second part) in late summer/early autumn. Scandinavia has always been one of my favourite parts in the world. I’ve spent summers in Sweden as a child, so going back now brought back some beautiful childhood memories. I love the Swedish woods, the cute colourful wooden houses, the lakes, the mellow atmosphere and sense of air.
It was my first time in Norway. I visited without any expectations at all, and was blown away, even just by the small part that we saw. I’ll note which places we visited and stopped at in each post. I hope you’ll enjoy the photos, get inspired to plan your own trip to Scandinavia, and discover some beautiful places of your own.
On our last day in Sweden we drove from Gothenburg up to the border of Sweden and Norway, stopping by some beautiful coastal towns and villages, including the colourful Smögen (it was such a beautiful day too!), and Ljungskile where we stopped for lunch and coffee, and discovered an amazing small design store (which now unfortunately has moved).
Just before sundown we passed through a tiny village, I stepped out of the car and got some of my favourite photos ever. It was such a beautiful and magical moment!
